Vice President debate

I saw the Vice President debate just now.

I just saw Kamala Harris's disrespectful smirk on her face through out the debate  with Vice President.

Vice President Pense was very respectful.

I like Joe Biden.

But because of Kamala Harris, I am going to abstain from voting.

  1. Just because someone gained control over their facial expressions doesn't make them good. SG you anyway had a lot of negative things to say about Kamala in your previous posts....your mind was already made up even before this debate.... and as for a president who tweets covfefe...and has no control over the nonsense he talks.....Kamala is much better....

    1. Thanks for your comments Dee. I never said I will vote for Trump. I said I like Joe Biden. But I will abstain from voting. My honest opinion is you are prejudiced. You want Kamala Harris because her mother comes from your country. That is not the qualification to vote for her.

    2. Hahahha .... interesting u said that .... because u assumed that's what I thought....i know she is anti indian.....and no better.....both presidential candidates are pathetic.....just cause someone is from.india, is half African American and a woman doesn't mean she gets all the votes from all 3 sections automatically

    1. Thanks for your comments The Fly. You used to be a fly on the wall. Now on Mike Pence's hair to observe closely Kamala Harris? It is good. But Willie Brown has observed even more closely.

    3. You said Kamala is better. Check with California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown. He will tell you how good Kamala is. He knows very well.

  3. I don't know about either, so I can't comment on this. It's good that the candidates are made to go through a nationally televised debate before elections - that'll give people an idea about the major issues and how the politicos plan to deal with it. India too needs such a system.

    1. Thanks for your comments Rajesh. You are correct. It is good to make the candidates face millions of audience and debate.

  4. I could not see the debate but I have the transcription of it to be read. From what I learn from news reports, Mr. Pence interrupted her frequently even when she was speaking within her allotted time that she was forced to remind the VP"I am speaking'. In the course of such distractions, you cannot read a meaning in the facial expressions of Kamala Hariss.
Voting for a candidate /party is baaed on their vision, agenda, their work, their capability and suitability for the job and certainly not on their facial appearances.

    1. Thanks for your comments Mr. KP. Kamala Harris has her own agenda and plans. She is not interested in supporting Biden's agenda.

    2. Just read the news on "fact check". Pence interrupted Kamala for 10 times. And, Kamala interrupted Pence 5 times. So she is not honest either.

  5. Between these two parties vote for the best, unfortunately you don't have much choice, but do not abstain from voting for such small things, try looking at the bigger picture, and use your right to vote. It is hard to believe that politics in America is getting worse than India. Choosing the less evil is always better than not choosing at all.

  7. I got up a bit early to catch the V-P debate too. Since no one votes for either Harris or Pense, it doesn't matter how well or how badly they performed in the debate.

I think the choice on Nov 3 is very clear.

Policy-wise, it's between who is (and is seen to be) doing something for the US and who has a plan to do something for the US.

Personality-wise, it's between who is (and who looks) energetic and powerful and who looks tired and weak.

My gut feeling, as of today, is Trump is going to come back.

    1. Thanks for your comments Pradeep. You are right. No one votes for Harris or Pence. It is a package. If one votes for Biden those votes automatically go for Harris also. Same with Trump and Pense. Your gut feeling may be correct. Lots of uneducated people, people who did not go to college, and people with strong religious affiliation strongly support Trump.

    1. Thanks for your comments Ashok. It is very interesting this year. Trump wants to pack the Supreme Court in his favor so if they go to court disputing the resukt he has advantage.

  9. Some people think that they are above all others and such people always bear a sarcastic smirk on the visage. I think Kamala is an example of that. Nice post, SG. Your posts are of the current affairs or some other useful topics.
