Jasprit Bumrah says India suffering “Bubble” fatigue. He said "sometimes you need a break. You miss your family. You've been on the road for six months”.
Here are my thoughts:
Why did you then play in IPL?
Don’t you all travel with your families?
Don’t you feel fatigue when playing IPL? Money gives you extra stamina?
Take the “well-deserved” break immediately and go home forfeiting the remaining 3 matches.
Why are unfit players in the team? And, fit players left out. Bring on Deepak Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, and Shreyas Iyer in the playing eleven. (My personal opinion)
Will fatigue still be there if there is another IPL immediately after this World Cup?
Here are my final thoughts:
Players get extra bonus for excellent performance. Likewise, they should be charged huge amount of money for nonperformance. Example: Rs.10 lakh for a duck. Rs.5 lakh for under 25. Rs.10 lakh for a zero wicket.
There is also “man of the match” award. There should be a “wimp of the match” award for the worst performer. Then only these “semi-gods” will learn.
Hilarious post SG...hope someone reads your post and implements them lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Dee. I hope so too.
DeleteBravo Rajan. The idea of penalty clause is simply superb. Should be implemented.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Gowri. I hope so too.
DeleteThe problem is with cricket board, not players. Indian cricket is a competitive field, and i have had heard about players hiding injuries to play games, ad they fear missing a place for ever in the playing XI...
ReplyDeletePenalties for players? That is an emotional comment.. A player like sachin once came straight from his fathers funeral to play world cup. If he had got out of duck in that game, imagine putting penalty ? Players should be free of tension so they are not under pressure to perform.
Cricket board should not kill the golden goose and let players have ample time to rest between tournaments. Greed is destroying the cricket pitches so as the game...
Thanks for your comments Madhu. I agree with you in general. But these players should take pride to play for their country. They exhaust all energy by playing in IPL. IPL is not cricket. It is a business. Only money motivates these players. Cricket board (BCCI) has a choice. Country or (IPL) business.
DeleteBut there is no option to opt out from IPL.. its like school board planning back to back to back examinations and want students to excel in every different types of exams. The will have fatigue.. i see it similar..
DeleteI understanding what you are saying. My knowledge is very limited. I do not think anyone is forcing these players to join IPL and play to the extent they get fatigued...and not able to compete for the country.
DeleteLooks like IPL is more important nowadays!

Thanks for your comments Rajesh. Money talks.
DeleteIndia needs a good captain to motivate team members. Kohli may be a good player but unfit to be a captain for India or Bangalore.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Seema. He is unfit. Win or loss, a captain or the manager should have come to the press conference. But these 2 cowards sent Jasprit Bumrah to face the press. Who is he? Captain or Manager? He just sodhapify. (Translation:He just f.up)
DeleteYou have echoed the great disappointment and anger of the India fans at the poor display of India inWT20.
ReplyDeleteThe surfeit of cricket all through the year with same one score players playing all matches is bound to affect their fitness. No tournament is won by a tired and half-fit players lacking fire in the belly.
Let all emerging young talent also get chance to play regularly thereby rotating the players giving them all the much needed rest. For every player there are three or more equivalent capable players. There is no dearth but only unwillingness to play them.
Thanks for your comments Mr.KP. You are correct. If they are fatigued by playing in IPL, they should bring in fully fit and capable new players to represent the country.
DeleteIndian cricketers are playing for money. Cricket is a money making game in Indian and all these blue men are interested in making more and more money.
ReplyDeleteResult, quality is lost. And under performance happens in crucial tournaments.
Thanks for your comments Kirtivasan. You are 100% correct.
DeleteGood one, Rajan ... The only disincentive probably is getting left out of the team. Not just with cricket in India. But it holds good for most big-time sports around the world.
ReplyDeleteYes, money blinks their eyes. And then blaming the fate about its fatigue. Correct, at least a small punishment may be a good step to do away with the non-performers.
