I Voted Today

I voted today.

Though the official voting day is next Tuesday, November 5, almost all states allow early voting either in person or by mail. In my area in California, the voting place opened on October 26. But all votes will be counted after close of business on November 5.

Ballot information were available in several languages. See the photo below. There are a few languages from India.

After I voted, they gave a sticker that said “I Voted”. It is also in a few languages including Hindi.

Will wait for November 5 to know the results.

  2. Nice to see various languages for directions to vote. You got a sticker. But I got a Briyani pack and cash before I went to vote. (I am not from usa).

    1. Thanks for your comments seema. As always, political parties in India cheat the voters. They gave you Briyani pack and cash. Where is the quarter bottle of rum? Did not give you?

    2. On election day, quarter is banned. A week before election got the cheap quality liquor delivered to my home.

    1. Thanks for your comments Dee. It is pure BRIBE. Buying votes thru bribe. If you get money, briyani and liquor and vote and then you cannot complain against the government, because they bought your vote.

  7. Any crooked strategy followed by USA parties like our country parties do (liquor, biryani and cash)?

  8. political parties in India cheat the voters as if they are true and honest in USA. At least they are giving Briyani pack and cash. Except presidential and vice presidential candidates we don't know who are the people in the ballot a long list. Never heard or seen them. Basically they expect to vote all REP or all DEM candidates.

  9. I missed this post, because I was quite tied up with work and also trvelling on work.
We must vote. That's one responsibility and duty as citizens of a democracy we all have.
Voting in a democracy is just a one-day affair. But governance of a democratic country is a 4 year or 5 year affair.
More than the voting by people, it is what politicians (of all parties) do after they have been voted to power that really defines the health of democracy.
