Another Republican party member has announced contesting for the Republican Party nomination to be President of USA in 2024. That is Nikki Haley.
Nikki Haley was born Nimarata Nikki Randhawa. She was born in South Carolina to Ajit Singh Randhawa and Raj Kaur Randhawa. Her parents emigrated from Amritsar, India to South Carolina, USA. She graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Accounting.
Nikki became active in the Republican Party. She was elected Governor of South Carolina in 2011 and held that post until 2017. When Donald Trump became President of the USA, he nominated her to be the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. She held that post until December 2018.

Since then Nikki has developed difference of policy opinion with Trump and has decided to challenge him for the Republican Party nomination for the President in 2024.
Now Republican Party has 3 candidates. Donald Trump. Nikki Haley. The Unannounced but a major candidate Ron DeSantis, the current Governor of Florida.
Here is my imagination. It certainly will not happen. In case Biden does not contest in 2024 due to his age, there is a chance for Kamala Harris to get the Democratic nomination. Just in the unlikely circumstances Nikki Haley gets the Republican Nomination, it will be a historic election.
Both parties will have women candidates. Both will be of Indian origin. Kamala from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Nikki from Amritsar, Punjab.
Will that be a South vs North?
PS: Another Indian origin person Vivek Ramaswamy has announced his candidacy for Republican Party nomination.
This is my wild guess - Ron DeSantis ends up winning it!
