Read in the papers that Chandra Babu Naidu has complained that the laddus in Tirupathi Tirumalai temple is made out of animal fat instead of ghee. I will give you my thinking before you read the whole blog post.
Bull Shit
Let me write a rebuttal.
To give a contract to a vendor, it has to be approved by the Devasthanam Board Members. There are 24 of them. All of them are Hindus. One is even a BJP member. Then it has to be approved by the Executive Officer and sent to the AP Government. So Jagan or his party is not involved in it.
The Laddu making chief cook has been working for 26 years. There are more than 180 Undercooks & Assistants inside those vast kitchens who prepare Laddus, Pongal, Pepper Pongal, Puliohara and Curd Rice every day.
Do you think no one has spotted the different fat for making the Laddus?
Do you think none of the millions of devotees, from lay men to sophisticated intelligent educated people, who get the Laddu prasadam every day, has spotted the animal fat smell?
My opinion is it is all politics. This may backfire on Chandra Babu Naidu.

ReplyDeleteThe issue concerns quality control and whether processes meet the required standards. If the lab report is accurate, it indicates lapses in those processes, which must be investigated.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe the allegation is that someone from the temple or administration deliberately added inappropriate ingredients to the laddoo, or that the government, led by a particular party, is attempting to taint a world-renowned temple. However, the debate has unfortunately given that impression.
This should not be politicised, but sadly, many people are viewing the issue through a political lens. Unfortunately, that’s how most issues in our country are perceived nowadays. The larger picture is missed.
Routine analysis of food items — not just in temples but everywhere — for hygiene and adherence to prescribed standards is essential. When problems arise, they must be investigated, and corrective actions taken.
Ideally, this controversy should also heighten awareness about the quality of food served in public places, prompting efforts to ensure that not only prasadam but all food items undergo regular quality checks.
Why a ruling Govt. should publicize this issue, is beyond me!
