Bo Wyble and his girl friend Sara Saco-Vertiz went to a professional baseball game. Their favorite team Houston Astros was playing that day. A ball hit by the batter came their way. Bo ducked. The ball hit Sara in the right elbow. Please see this video.
They took it jovially. They went home. Sara started to think about the incident. She thought if her boy friend could not protect her from the oncoming ball how is he going to protect her in life if they get married.
She told a reporter that her pain was a 6 out of 10.
Bo said he would do things differently if allowed the chance. If the ball again came their way, he'd let the ball hit him "probably in the back."
Many people feel Bo was a real wimp for not protecting her. If the guy bails over a foul ball, just imagine what he'd be like in a real crisis. She's better off without him.
Therefore Sara told Bo she is splitting from him. Now they are separated.
What do you think? Did she do the right thing?

Did this really happen...what I could see looked like a natural reaction, I think Bo didnt realise that the ball would hit Sara...or maybe the reality is something different.
ReplyDeleteThere are little things in life that matter...when your partner is sad , you dont have to overshadow him/her with your wise thoughts, you can just bs there, sit besides them and give them the feeling that youre always there...
Little things matter, to begin or end a realtionship..isnt it!
Thanks for your comments Sana. You are absolutely right. Little things can trigger the beginning or ending of a relationship.
ReplyDeleteI saw their interview in the morning. But she seems kind of superficial.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments A. Is that so? I missed that interview.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's ok to take a decision based on just one incident, ya what BO did was bad but you can not decide a person's character by just one thing, unless he has displayed similar behavior earlier also. I think she should give him a chance, what do you think???
ReplyDeleteI think she is immature..these type of actions are sometimes instant, and deciding such an important relationship on such trivial matters is being very shallow.
ReplyDeleteSG
ReplyDeleteHe was already up and trying to catch the ball. What about her reflexes?.Every time we must not think the knight in shining armour will protect. It is an accident. She is not rationale here.
Or is it based on earlier experiences, she is going to take a decision?.
This is not such a grave incident to think of separation. He did not plan and watch the ball hit her. Silly reason.
ReplyDeleteWhoa-this really happens???!!!!
ReplyDeleteOur women put with unimaginable
things and this girls makes
mountains out of mole hills!!
I don't think this is a very big issue. It may happen unintentionally with anybody. So just for this silly reason to think about the separation is immature way of reacting.
ReplyDeleteIsn't natural reflex to protect oneself? Can we be a little rationa about it.
ReplyDeleteSecondly it's said 'Faults are Thin when Love is Thick'..why don't we overlook other faults and shower unconditioned love?
Thanks for your comments Shuchita. I have a feeling this was brewing earlier also. This incident is the last straw on the camel.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Renu. I agree with you 100%.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Chitra. Please read my comment for Shuchita. I think this is the last straw that broke the camel's back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Sandhya. I would say it is very silly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your commens Latha. Your comments brought a smile in my face. Indians uninimously think the girl acted stupidly. But majority of the Ameicans side with the girl. Is it called "cultural difference"?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Babli. I think it is very immature.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Rahul. May be her love is thin and that is why the faults are thick!
ReplyDeleteThey both have their own perspectives. Bo did it as a reflex action. Sara has her own point.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Kiran. I am glad you are able to see both view points.
ReplyDeleteMe thinks she was looking for an excuse and found one, however stupid! ;-/
