My New Template

Lyrics:

The loveliness of Paris seems somehow sadly gay
The glory that was Rome is of another day
I've been terribly alone and forgotten in Manhattan
I'm going home to my city by the Bay

I left my heart in San Francisco
High on a hill, it calls to me
To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars
The morning fog may chill the air, I don't care

My love waits there in San Francisco
Above the blue and windy sea
When I come home to you, San Francisco
Your golden sun will shine for me

  23. Nice poem. What was the inspiration for this?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks for your comments Sanand. No inspiration. Bored of the same old template. Wanted to change. Since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I thought I would put the picture of Golden Gate Bridge with San Francisco skyline as the background. Golden Gate Bridge is the most photographed man made object in the United States. Also, this song is the favorite of the San Franciscans. (Some people are trying to make this as California’s anthem.)

  31. Touching SG...

may be I should change the city name to my village and make minor editing to mirror our village...

    I miss my village... :)

  32. Thanks for your comments Stranger. It is a good idea. I think you should put the picture of your village on top of your blog. (Hey I just noticed we both have the same template...except for the pic.)

    Welcome back.

  33. San Francisco is the greatest city on earth.
90% of the world wants to live in the USA.
90% of the USA wants to live in California.
In California, people want to live in San Francisco #1...and San Diego #2...LA is a distant #3.
San Francisco (and the Bay Area) absolutely rocks!

In James Bond movies he goes all over the world.
In View To A Kill he goes to the most beautiful city on earth (the one with a killer view).
Guess which city has that killer view for James Bond?
    San Francisco.

    West Side!

  34. I like the new template.
Especially the BIG words that say the loveliness of Paris seems somehow sadly GAY.

    Bwahahahahaha!!

Can't agree more. Paris is GAY! France is GAY!

    Regards,
    Bertrand Delanoë

  35. Thanks for your comments The Cagey Bee. For once, I agree with you 100%.

    West Side!

  36. Thanks for your comments Mayor Delanoe. Even in this category, San Francisco beat your city (Paris) hands down.

San Francisco is called the GAY capital of the world.

  39. The bridge reminds me of "Full House"!!!I loved, love and will continue to love that bridge because of that serial and nothing else...

  40. Thanks for your comments Latha. I am glad you liked tbis new template.

  41. Thanks for your comments Aparna. You liked the Full House show. Me too. It was a funny and entertaining show. It always taught a life lesson at the end. Those kids were sooo cute. They have become adults now. Bob Saget has become even more famous with his hosting the “America’s Funniest Home Videos” show.

When you see Golden Gate Bridge in person, you will it even more. When it was built in 1937, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world.
