Jaipur Travel – Photos

In my previous post, I said I am not including any photos of Jaipur.  I assumed that you all either have been to Jaipur or seen a lot of photos from that city.  However, a few blogger friends want to see, at least, a few photos that I have clicked.  So here they are:

  11. Yes we have also been to Jaipur, and really enjoyed the trip very much. We also had food at choki Dham, it was very good but too rich. We went during May, when the Taj offers 50% discount in all their hotels in the North. We did the triangle as it is called Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, and we also managed to visit Kajaraho.
a da good time eating all the roadside stuff in Agra and Delhi, reliving my young long forgotten days.
In Rajasthan we hired a good taxi fellow, who was very knowledgable and took us to a lot of interesting places other than the usual ones. in fact he also took us to Ajmer to see the dargah and also to Pushkar. It was too good. The inter state trains also were very good.

  12. Thanks a lot for sharing. I just noticed the names of mahals - hawa... jal and amber... so thoughtfully structured and named... a very colorful city!!!

  13. utterly gorgeous pics! I loved Mewad more than Marwad.
Meerabai palace, Chittorgarh - all so rich with history, bravery and epic stories.
Marwad is more decadent rajahs and palaces turned into hotels.

  14. Thanks for your comments Rajesh. Jal Mahal is cool. But we are not allowed to go there. Just take a photo from the road. That is all.

  23. Thanks for your comments OIW. No we did not do "lot of" shopping. We are here temporarily for 6 months only and then return to San Francisco Bay Area. Don't want to accumulate lot of stuff (spouse is unhappy). You know there is weight limit for air travel.
