Chat Conversation

Last week I was playing a video game in my lap top. All of a sudden, a chat site popped up on my screen. I should have deleted that site. Instead, I went to that site so see what is happening. It is a meat market. That is all I can say, 

Later I was telling this incident to a friend of mine. She is in the habit of going to these sites for “entertainment”. She started to laugh. She said there are many sites like the one I mentioned. She also said most of the participants in these sites are Asians, and particularly Indian men. She said many are there with a fake westernized name, but she can recognize Indian men with the language they use. She gave me some examples: 

Your good name please? (instead of what is your name) 

Ur likes? (Ur for Your) 

Your asl dear (what is your asl) (fyi: ASL is age, sex, and location) 

Searching for good friendship (his reason to be in the chat site) 

Can I ask you something? 

r u married? (r u for are you)

How r u? 

Where are you basically from? 

Nice name dear 

Give me a missed call 

I am here for timepass 

I have a doubt 

God promise 

I will be out of station (meaning out of town) 

Revert back (I will reply)

Polyamory

The People’s Republic of Berkeley does it again. (It is jovially nicknamed People’s Republic of Berkeley because the city council behave and act as if they are an independent nation.)

They are going to pass a law legalizing polyamory. They say: 

The proposed regulations would shield people living in “diverse family structures” — including multi-partner families — from being discriminated against while seeking housing, patronizing local businesses or using government services. 

Polyamory, the practice of having more than one long-term romantic partner, is having a cultural moment. 

Since I have nothing else to do, I was thinking on the following lines. 

What if a person dies without a will? His several spouses will be fighting for his wealth. Which one the court will decide as a real spouse? 

Who gets the surviving social security benefits? 

Is it between men and woman having several romantic partners? OR does it include several romantic partners of just men only or female only? 

Polyamorous is having multiple partners. How many? Is there a limit? 

Are they going to establish counseling centers as to how to handle nagging from several partners? 

Will health insurance companies cover all the spouses? 

Divorce lawyers will have a field day. 

But look at the bright side. More than one hand to cook, clean, and take care of the kids. Also, instead of one income to take care of the expenses or double income, it will now be multiple income for the household.

To Kill a Dog

This is not like the famous novel To Kill a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee. 

This was an incident narrated by Ms. Kristi Noem, the South Dakota Governor. She is in the short-listed candidates to be the Vice-Presidential nominee for Donald Trump. She wanted to show the American voters that she is tough enough to face “difficult, messy and ugly” tasks. So Kristi narrated the following incident. 

Kristi Noem had a dog named Cricket. She said her 14 month old was very difficult to handle, train and discipline. According to her, Cricket behaved like “a trained assassin” with an “aggressive personality”. Attacked family chicken and killed many of them. She thought her kids are in danger. 

What did she do about it? She took her dog, Cricket, to a gravel pit and shot her dead. 

She is getting lot of criticism from the American public. America as a whole is a dog loving nation. Her act did not go well with the America public. This may endanger her chance of being a Vice Presidential candidate for Donald Trump. 

I have heard about dog owners shooting their hunting dogs accidentally. Never knew someone shooting their own dog deliberately and bragging about it. 

My point is if Kristi Noem wanted to get rid of her dog, she could have given it for adoption. Or, if she wanted to get rid of her dog forever, should could have put her to sleep in a more humane way.
