Changes at 10 Downing Street

I received this meme where people are asked to remove their shoes when entering 10 Downing Street. 

That prompted me to write this blog post. Since Rishi Sunak and his family have moved to 10 Downing Street, there will be some changes. 

No more English breakfast during morning cabinet meetings. Instead, they will be served idli and dosa with chutney and sambar. 

All silverware will be thrown out because the hosts eat with their hands. 

His wife is South Indian? Bye bye Tea and Hello Filter Coffee. 

Since Rishi is a teetotaler, there will not be Black Label Scotch Whiskey during cocktail hour. 

Work order sent to the Ministry of Public Building and Works to make custom made steps for use during Navaratri Golu. 

Extra security at the gate when the hosts take more than 30 minutes to say “good-bye” to each guest at the patio after the party.

Each bathroom will have lota (washing cup). That European bidet isn’t going to work. 

The oven will be used to store extra pots and pans. 

Old yogurt containers will be reused as leftover food storage. 

Turmeric stains EVERYWHERE. 

Currently, the Prime Minister Question Hour in the House of Commons is held at noon every Wednesday. It will be changed to an auspicious time and date to be determined by the family astrologer in India.
