Mystery Woman

(Courtesy: Yahoo)

Nothing mysterious about me.

You guys never watch anything other than cricket, so how would you know who I am?

Therefore I decided to lead the Indian Olympic contingent during the parade of nations…so you can get some shock therapy and education that there are other sporting events in this world worth watching.

Now that I’ve got your attention, go watch the Olympics. The Summer Olympics only happens once every four years.

See you at the Closing Ceremony.

Sincerely,

Indian Jane Doe

  10. Thanks Seema. Yes, you are correct.

I think "Madhura Honey" is a made up name. Madhura means sweet. We all know what honey means. Also, never heard of an Indian last name "Honey".

  11. If it was a oversight, why did she was at the front of the parade? She could have been at the end of Indian contingent. This is unnecessary distraction for Indians who would have liked to see Sania Mirza in nice saree.

  12. Thanks for your comments Rahul. And, welcome to my blog. I do not think this is an oversight. Some important person is behind this.

  13. Wow.. she already won a medal for India? I must read more about her.. I watched the Olympics opening ceremony but thought she wasn't part of the participating contingent.

  14. Thanks for your comments Lostworld. You thought she was not part of the participating contingent? She is very much part of the Indian Olympic contingent. The reason she was not wearing the same uniform as others because she is a Libero (pronounced LEE’be ro).

In a volleyball game, one player in every team will wear a different color uniform. He is called Libero. He is required to have a contrasting color uniform so the officials can tell that he is allowed to enter and exit the court without taking a substitution.

That is what this woman did. She was allowed to enter the march past without authorization from any Olympic official.
